So typically you'd have some kind of "on" function that would be assigned to the first press and corresponding "off" function that's assigned to the second press. You can also setup a button as a toggle so that it does one thing when you press it the first time and something else when you press it the second time. ![]() You can make buttons that take you to other pages of buttons so you could create a menu structure or a simple sequence of pages that you step through forwards and backwards. Also note that it's very easy to setup multiple pages of buttons so you're not just limited to one command per physical button. I would still say the mini is nicer than the standard version if you can live with just six buttons. The mini has a nice base but it's not removable and a hard-wired USB-A cable. The standard version has a really cheap feeling stand and a hard-wired USB-A cable. This is impacting my work because I'm not able to adjust mic/line level (so I'm having to run audio through my Pocket 4K in order to avoid distortion), and I'm not able to set stills to fade in/out to.David Hutchinson wrote:Yes, Streamdeck and Companion work great, get the xl version- you always need more buttons. The XL also has a much nicer base that attaches magnetically and it has a removable USB-C cable so you can use cables of different lengths and you can use a USB-C to USB-A cable or a USB-C to USB-C cable as appropriate. I had a colleague stop by who is much more knowledgeable in these issues than I am (runs large livestream events full-time), and after 2 hours of troubleshooting every possible option (connecting via ethernet, manually setting ports and gateways, disabling VPN, disabling firewall, reinstalling software, etc.) he couldn't find a solution either. ATEM is running Version 8.6.3, software is latest update 8.10. ATEM Setup recognizes the device and I can adjust all settings in there. Windows 11 recognizes the device and I can send audio and video over USB. When I hover over the program I see a white screen, when I click on the program, nothing happens. Click on the program, splash screen comes up, then disappears. ![]() press the first button of the second button row to open the library module. If everything has gone right, you should be able to. From the location, where you have extracted the ZIP file, select the file midi2lr\presets.txt. I am beginning to think that, due to the age of the switcher (4 years old) that the switcher may be failing. From the Lightroom menu bar select File > Plug-in Extras > MIDI2LR > Load presets. ![]() The ATEM setup app worked fine and recognized the switcher via Ethernet and USB connection. No matter what switch I had between the ATEM switcher and the computer, the control app would not recognize the device. I also tried a Windows computer without success. I tried a 10/100 switch and Gigabit switch, changed Cat6 cables, and removed all other devices from the switches. The only way I could connect the software control to the switcher was if I used a direct Ethernet cable between a Mac Mini and the switcher. Firmware is up to date (8.6) and has been running well in our network until yesterday. ![]() Using an ATEM Production Studio 4k that we have had for a few years.
